he's chasing dreams hitting seams.
she's chasing dreams talking sports.
Matt has been assigned to AAA in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — but he isn’t breaking camp with the team. I mentioned in a post a couple weeks ago that Matt had a minor injury. He’s having problems with his intercostal muscle. Last week he got an MRI, and thank the Lord the MRI came back clear. But Matt isn’t 100% yet so they are keeping him in Arizona to rehab and get to 100%. We’re not entirely sure what the timetable (hoping for one week but could be two or three) is for him to be with the team, but we’re hoping for the best!
I am actually though packing up and will soon be on my way to move into our apartment in OKC. By myself. With U-Haul trailer in tow. Prayers are appreciated. We decided I would go ahead and go for a couple of reasons. One our Arizona lease is up at the end of March. Two when Matt is ready to play he won’t have a couple days or even a day to make the trip from AZ to OKC. They’ll fly him out to OKC or wherever the team is playing. So we’ve already signed a lease and have roommates. I already have a job lined up in OKC — Lululemon transferred me! I wanted to include the places where Matt will be playing during the season (granted no send downs or call-up) because I think a lot of our friends and family are going to be happy with a couple places he will be playing. The Oklahoma City Dodgers are in the Pacific Coast League. The PCL has 16 teams that are very spread out which means the team will be flying a lot. Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Brewers) – Colorado Springs, Colorado - Security Service Field Iowa Cubs (Cubs) – Des Moines, Iowa – Principal Park Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals) – Papillion, Nebraska – Werner Park Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals) – Memphis, Tennessee (!!) – AutoZone Park Nashville Sounds (Athletics) – Nashville, Tennessee (!!) – First Tennessee Park New Orleans Baby Cakes (Marlins) – Metairie, Louisiana – Shrine on Airline Round Rock Express (Rangers) – Round Rock, Texas – Dell Diamond Fresno Grizzlies (Astros) – Fresno, California – Chukchansi Park Reno Aces (Diamondbacks) – Reno, Nevada – Greater Nevada Fields Sacramento River Cats (Giants) – West Sacramento, California – Raley Field Tacoma Rainiers (Mariners) – Tacoma, Washington – Cheney Stadium Albuquerque Isotopes (Rockies) – Albuquerque, New Mexico – Isotopes Park El Paso Chihuahuas (Padres) – El Paso, Texas – Southwest University Park Las Vegas 51s (Mets) – Las Vegas, Nevada – Cashman Field Salt Lake Bees (Angels) – Salt Lake City, Utah – Smith’s Ballpark The OKC Dodgers come to Memphis April 30-May 3 and May 21-24 and Nashville May 25-29 and July 20-22!! Hope to see a lot of you there! If you're going to be in one of the other cities or OKC, let me know! I'd love to meet you. You can see the entire schedule here. I’ll keep you guys posted on when Matt makes it to the OKC!

I’m happy and excited about the promotion for Matt, but also a little bit sad. I won’t get a chance to see you, Matt, OR GRAINGER like I used to.
